A framework for schools to hire or buy temporary and semi-permanent buildings, such as modular classrooms, Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) facilities, office buildings, and welfare blocks
schools can either hire (Lot 1) or purchase (Lot 2) a wide range of temporary and semi-permanent buildings — including modular classrooms, cabins, containers, and marquees giving flexibility to match short-term needs or longer-term plans
end-to-end support is included across both Lots, covering design, project management, installation, and ongoing maintenance, so schools can have buildings, including those built to SEND requirements, delivered and managed without sourcing these services separately
buying buildings through Lot 2 will give access to additional services such as onsite audits, asset recycling, and secure destruction, helping manage the full lifecycle of the buildings
helps schools respond quickly to changes in pupil numbers, or unexpected changes in space requirements ensuring pupils always have adequate teaching environments without overcrowding or disruption
specialist spaces, including SEND facilities and small group rooms, can be hired or purchased to meet specific needs of pupils
enables schools to maintain continuity of provision during refurbishments, emergencies, or estate works, keeping disruption to pupils’ routine to a minimum
