Supply teachers and temporary staffing (STaTS)

New framework from 1 May 2026

A new Government Commercial Agency (formerly Crown Commercial Service) framework for agency supply staff will launch on 1 May 2026.

The new framework agreement includes the DfE negotiated rate card which will provide significant savings to schools. From September 2026, Academy Trusts must use the new framework as per the 2026 Academy Trust Handbook.

Use the existing GCA framework below to procure supply staff before 1 May 2026.

• downloadable shortlist of agencies based on your needs
• calculation of the maximum you could be charged to make your agency worker permanent

• completed background and safeguarding checks

Independent schools (for-profit) are not able to access the deal.
